Oasis program

 
Day1: Arrival, meeting and assistance with immigration formalities and transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day2: After breakfast, day tour to the ancient kingdom capital of Memphis and the necropolis of Sakkara with the step pyramid, then on to see the pyramids and sphinx of Giza, and the valley temple of King Chephren. 
Overnight in Cairo
Day3: visit to the Egyptian museum, which houses the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities worldwide, among them the finds from Tutankhamun’s tomb! Afterwards you can stroll through the busy alleys of Khan El Khalili bazaar and see one of Cairo many mosques. In the afternoon, visit to the Christian churches of old Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
Day4: In the morning drive to Bahariya oasis. Arrival at Bir El Ghaba, dinner and overnight.
Day5: After breakfast visit El Bawiti, capital of the oasis. After a stroll in the bazaar you'll see many other attractions: the warm and cold spring of Moghtalla, Beshmu, and Tahkiema. After Lunch in Bahariya drive towards the white desert. Dinner and overnight halfway.
Day6: stay in the white Desert, then 40Km drive to farafra, visit to the local museum. You will have the possibilities to bathe in the spring. After Lunch drive to Dakhla, dinner and overnight.
Day7: In the morning sightseeing in El Qasr, the town Mut and its local museum, and the old town of Balat. After lunch drive to Kharga, dinner and overnight.
Day8: visit to the old town, the temple of Hibis and the extensive necropolis of Bagawat. Afterwards drive past Baris towards Luxor. In the afternoon visit Karnak temple. Overnight in hotel.
Day9: In the morning, visit to the west bank( valley of the Kings, temple of queen Hatshepsut and colossi of Memnon. Afternoon at leisure, in the evening visit to Luxor temple and Luxor museum. Overnight in hotel.
Day10: Drive from Luxor to Aswan. Overnight at hotel
Day11: Morning free at leisure. At noon begin of felucca sailing. Nubian sailors welcome you abroad the typical Nile felucca with its up to nine meters high mast and triangular sail, which is in use since ancient times. Sailing around the islands of Aswan, with a view of Kitchener island and the Agha khan's mausoleum, and then to the island south of Aswan. Visit to Nubian villages on the island of Sehel, which is covered with rock inscriptions from pharaonic times. Afterwards begin of sailing north towards Darau, overnight some kilometers north of Aswan, passing the prehistoric site of el Khoubania with its rock drawings.
Day12: After breakfast proceed to Darau. The river passes golden sand dunes and green fields surrounding colorful Egyptian villages. Walk along a small canal and a pretty village near the edge of the desert at Sheikh Fadil.
Visit to the lively camel fair in the upper hamlet of Darau (Tuesdays only) overnight.
Day13: Darau-Kom ombo sailing to Kom ombo(2hrs) sailing between reeds and islets used for grazing. In the Kom ombo visit to the Ptolemaic twin temples, After lunch about 2hrs. sailing, overnight at a village on the banks of the nile.
Day14: on the way to Edfu: sailing all day, along the most beautiful paat of the Nile valley. Walk to the hill of Bachir, for a view across the nile valley and the desert, then sailing to Fars for a walk through the palm groves. Overnight some distances from Edfu.
Day15: After breakfast transfer to Aswan and embarkation on Lake Nasser cruise ship (4nts ex Aswan, starts on Monday) overnight on board.
Day15-19: Lake Nasser cruise, ending in Abu Simbel and visiting the Nubian temples on the way. Overnight on board.
Day19: Disembarkation. Flight Abu-Simbel-Aswan-Cairo
